Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An excellent full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a respected school district in Oak Park, Illinois. This on-site role offers the opportunity to work with 3rd-5th grade students Monday through Friday, from 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM. The caseload consists of 10-12 students, providing a focused environment to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities in grades 3-5
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions

Qualifications:

• Masters or Doctoral Degree in Special Education
• Active Illinois teaching licensure in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary grade students preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and organizational skills
