This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity supports K-12 students at a public school located in Lacey, Washington. The position focuses primarily on elementary students, with some involvement in middle and high school grades. The contract runs for the current school year, starting August 19, 2025. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities across K-12, emphasizing elementary education Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress Maintain accurate records and reports regarding student achievements and challenges Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learner needs Preferred Qualifications: Valid Washington State certification in Special Education (SPED) Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in elementary settings Familiarity with rural populations and their unique educational challenges is highly desirable Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work onsite full-time within the school environment Schedule and Location: Full-time, onsite position based in Lacey, WA 37.5 hours per week, four-day workweeks with Fridays off Contract duration: current school year This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys within a supportive structure tailored to work-life balance through a four-day week schedule.
