Seeking a Special Education Teacher for Grades 3-5 to support diverse student needs through a variety of instructional models including pull-out, inclusion, and co-teaching. This contract position spans the full school year and is based in the Chicago area near Mckinley Park. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to students with special needs in grades 3 through 5. Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusion and co-teaching strategies. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students unique goals. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary. Maintain clear communication with parents, staff, and support teams to foster student success. Qualifications and Experience: Current LBS1 (Licensed Behavioral Specialist 1) certification is required. Proven experience teaching special education students in elementary grades. Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices. Ability to effectively work within both pull-out and inclusive classroom settings.
