A rewarding opportunity is available for a 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher to join a middle school RISE Program focused on behavioral management and social-emotional development. This contract position spans the full school year and is located in Burlington, CT.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut teaching endorsement: 065, 165, or 265.
Experience implementing behavior management strategies.
Knowledge of trauma-informed educational practices.
Commitment to fostering social-emotional growth in students.
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students within the RISE Program.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Utilize trauma-informed methods to create a supportive classroom environment.
Monitor and document student progress related to behavioral and academic goals.
Location and Hours:
Middle School in Burlington, CT.
Full-time contract position, 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM.
School Year (NSY) duration.
