A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education teacher specializing in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) to support students in a group home setting. This contract position is designed for those passionate about making a meaningful impact on high schoolaged youth, ages 14-21, in a structured yet flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, in-person instruction to students ages 14-21 with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, focusing on individualized education plans (IEPs).
Deliver 15-20 hours per week of specialized education services, primarily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with additional flexible hours for indirect services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students academic, behavioral, and social development within the group home setting.
Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification with experience in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.
Skill in designing and implementing individualized instruction tailored to students with various learning and behavioral challenges.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with staff, caregivers, and support teams.
