Soliant isseeking a dedicated and dynamic Special Education Teacher to join a high school/transition program in Washington for the 20252026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a self-contained classroom with up to 15 students with severe emotional and behavioral needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs Manage a self-contained classroom focused on high school or transition-age students Use de-escalation strategies and behavioral supports in high-intensity situations Provide academic, social, and emotional instruction to help students achieve success Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families Delegate behavior management tasks when appropriate, while maintaining a strong classroom presence Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State Teaching License Special Education Endorsement Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification OSPI Fingerprints clearance Experience working with students with severe emotional/behavioral challenges Strong classroom management skills and a commanding presence CPI certification required (Right Response may be considered) Comfortable with leadership and delegation in crisis situations Familiarity or experience working with Native American cultures strongly preferred Additional Credentialing Requirement: In addition to standard Washington State credentialing, this position requires clearance through the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).
