Minimum 1+ years special education experience required. Soliant is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to serve students with significant needs in a highly supported classroom setting. The teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized instruction, managing a team of assistants, and collaborating with support staff to promote student success. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and support for a classroom of up to 10 students with significant needs Supervise and guide 3 classroom assistants Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and specialists Collaborate with TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) and Autism Support Staff Use data-driven strategies to support student learning, behavior, and independence Maintain open and ongoing communication with families, staff, and administrators Participate in professional development and school-based team meetings Utilize 4 release days for case management, IEP writing, and collaboration Qualifications: Valid Oregon State Teaching License Special Education Endorsement required Experience teaching students with significant needs or developmental disabilities strongly preferred Knowledge of functional curriculum, behavior strategies, and assistive technology Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with a team Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Schedule and Location: Work will be based on-site in Fruitvale, OR Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar
