Position Details

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Employing best-practice strategies/methods to provide intensive and differentiated instruction in accordance with students IEPs;

Adapting curriculum and providing accommodations based on individual student data;

Collaborating with school and ISD staff to develop and implement behavior plans based on student needs;

Effectively documenting student progress and maintaining student records;

Updating and maintaining all IBP and other special education documentation in a timely manner;

Conducting IEPs and related meetings for students on caseload;

Collaborating with general education teachers and other staff to promote student success;

Developing positive relationships and communicating effectively with students, parents & families, and colleagues;

Participating in individual professional development and working with an assigned mentor(s) to develop needed skills; I0. Other duties as needed to effectively manage special education caseload and maintain compliance with IDEA and MARSE rules.
