Soliant Education is searching for aSpecial Education Teacher for Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) to providespecialized instruction and support to students in elementary and middle school settings. This role focuses on meeting the unique educational needs of students with developmental cognitive disabilities, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will collaborate closely with families, general education staff, and related service providers to ensure students academic, social, and emotional growth throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Provide direct instruction and support using research-based strategies aligned with developmental cognitive disabilities.
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and families to coordinate services and supports.
Conduct ongoing assessment and progress monitoring; adjust instruction based on data and student growth.
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
Support students in developing functional life skills, communication, and social interaction.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential inSpecial Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)
Provide specialized instruction and support for students with developmental cognitive disabilities
Schedule and Location:
This position requires a commitment of 37.5hours per week
Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar (September 2, 2025 - June 3, 2026)
