Birch Academy - About Birch Academy
Birch Academy is a 10-month specialized school, approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education. Our program is designed to support children whose primary special education needs are related to autism or developmental delays. We focus on helping students build a strong academic foundation, utilizing their personal strengths, and developing independence through functional communication and adaptive skills.

Together, this team, alongside educational consultants, crafts individualized programs to address each student's unique needs. Our goal is to enhance academic growth, develop resilience to learning barriers, and generalize skills across various environments.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. You will work collaboratively with students, families, and other professionals to provide high-quality educational services to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to develop effective home-school partnerships.
Use data-driven practices to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
Participate in IEP meetings and other related meetings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
ESY Program runs 3-4 days weekly from 9:00am-3:00pm in July & August - we are seeking a special teacher to support our program and will consider making an offer to come on board for next school year 2025-2026 full time!
Qualifications:
Valid state teaching certification with special education endorsement.
Master's degree in Special Education or related field (preferred).
Baccelor's Degree in Education or related field (required)
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and behavior.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
