Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Emotional Disabilities (ED) Reports To: Principal Position Status: Full-Time Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree Valid AZ Elementary Teaching Certificate or appropriate certification AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card SEI Endorsement (preferred) Core Job Functions: Create a positive classroom environment that supports learning Deliver instruction aligned with curriculum and state standards Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs Clearly communicate learning goals Facilitate small and large group instruction Integrate technology to support student learning Monitor and evaluate student progress Maintain required records and documentation Communicate regularly with families Participate in team meetings for student support and progress monitoring Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and interventions Implement IEPs effectively Supervise students during school hours and events Ensure student safety and care of classroom resources Participate in school meetings, events, and initiatives Engage in professional development opportunities Perform other related duties as assigned Core Values & Professional Expectations: Foster respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Adapt to change and accept direction Exhibit strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Follow site-specific dress code Maintain confidentiality Serve as a positive role model Follow all applicable rules and policies Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform tasks including standing, walking, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and other physical activities May be exposed to various environmental conditions and moderate noise Accommodations available for individuals with disabilities
