An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in Clayton, NC, to support students in grades 6 through 12. This full-time contract position involves managing a diverse caseload in both resource and self-contained settings, providing specialized instruction tailored to meet individual student needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with disabilities in resource and self-contained classrooms Manage a caseload of 35-40 students in resource settings and up to 8 students in self-contained classrooms Develop and implement adapted curriculum plans aligned with students' IEPs Collaborate with school staff, families, and service providers to support student progress Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress reports Attend school events and meetings as required, with full-time hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, extending to 4:30 PM two days per week Qualifications: Valid EC teaching license required; Self-Contained teachers must hold an Adapted Curriculum license Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students (grades 6-12) Open to new graduates eager to begin their career in special education Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment Location: Clayton, NC Contract start date: July 22 Caseload: Resource (35-40), Self-Contained (8 or fewer) This position offers a chance to develop professionally while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
