Setting: Self-Contained Classroom Emotional Disability (ED) Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to lead an Emotional Disability (ED) self-contained classroom in Chandler, Arizona. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs using structured, individualized, and therapeutic approaches. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students with emotional disabilities in a self-contained setting

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Apply evidence-based strategies to promote academic growth, emotional regulation, and positive behavior

Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, families, and school support teams

Participate in IEP meetings, behavioral intervention planning, and crisis prevention and response when necessary

Qualifications: Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities

Experience working with students in emotional disability or behavioral support settings strongly preferred

Familiarity with trauma-informed care, SEL practices, and behavior management techniques

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to build trusting relationships and work collaboratively across educational teams
