This opportunity is for two full-time Special Education Teacher positions at K-12 schools in Cedar Park, TX. Both roles provide meaningful work supporting students with special needs within a structured school environment for the upcoming school year (NSY) on a contract basis. Position 1 Middle School Special Education Teacher Full-time (37.5 hours/week), 8:40 AM to 4:40 PM Self-contained classroom with 3 students (including 2 siblings) Supported by 2 paraeducators in the classroom Must hold Special Education Teacher certification Essential: Experience managing and supporting behavioral needs Position 2 Elementary School Special Education Teacher Options Option A: Autism Inclusion Pull-Out Program Full-time, 7:40 AM to 3:40 PM Work with 6-8 students in an inclusive setting Must have Autism experience Option B: Life Skills Classroom Full-time, 7:40 AM to 3:40 PM Provide specialized instruction Paraeducator support Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education Teacher certification Proven experience in special education settings, particularly with behavioral challenges or autism, depending on the assignment Ability to collaborate effectively with paraeducators and support staff Strong communication and organizational skills Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment Monitor and document student progress Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure student success This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys by providing specialized instruction and care.
