We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will support students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction, specialized strategies, and collaboration with general education staff and support professionals.
This role requires a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and academic achievement for all students with disabilities. Candidates must be able to create an engaging, supportive, and structured classroom environment tailored to student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with parents, administrators, and related service providers
Adapt and modify instructional materials and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students
Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas as specified in IEPs
Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations in mainstream classrooms
Monitor and track student progress toward IEP goals and provide regular updates to families and staff
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and school initiatives
Qualifications: Valid Coloradocertification or licensure in Special Education (required)
Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities; experience with more intensive needs a plus
Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and data-driven instruction
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting students with unique learning needs
Schedule and Location: Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar (August 11, 2025 - May 21, 2026)
