Lighthouse Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a resource room program in a Michigan school. This role focuses on small-group instruction and individualized support for students with IEPs, helping them succeed in the least restrictive environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction aligned to IEP goals in reading, math, behavior, and executive functioning
Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion
Conduct IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
Maintain compliance with IDEA and Michigans MARSE guidelines
Requirements:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate special education endorsement
Experience writing and implementing IEPs and BIPs
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
