Summary:
This role is ideal for a certified special education teacher who thrives in a collaborative, inclusive educational environment. The Special Education Resource Teacher will deliver specially designed instruction aligned with student IEP goals in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning. With a mix of push-in and pull-out services, this position focuses on supporting students across general education settings while ensuring compliance with IDEA and FAPE standards.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide targeted instruction in literacy, math, and executive functioning aligned with IEPs.
• Deliver a combination of push-in support and pull-out resource instruction.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 10 students across multiple grade levels.
• Conduct IEP evaluations, facilitate meetings, and write reports and progress updates.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to coordinate support.
• Maintain compliant documentation and ensure alignment with LRE standards.

Experience You’ll Need:
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.
• Experience supporting students in grades K–6 with diverse learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, FAPE, and LRE principles.
• Excellent written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills.
• Prior experience with IEP development and compliance preferred.
