Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Minimum 2 years of successful teaching experience preferred or relevant coursework within the last 3 years Comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and skill in the content area/assignment Knowledge and experience with the Google Suite Excellent communication skills Responsibilities: Provide and implement educational plans that are compliant with Federal guidelines. Work cooperatively with district and LADSE personnel to meet the individual needs of the students. Provide direction to and work collaboratively with paraprofessional educators in the classroom. Demonstrate knowledge of task analysis and sequential skill development. Plan daily activities consistent with instructional objectives. Use appropriate and effective strategies in instruction (provide several intervention approaches). Write behavior management objectives based on information collected during observations using data-based techniques and evaluate the implementation of these objectives. Support students with toileting needs as necessary. Involve parents directly in individual education plan development, plan implementation as needed, and provide them with progress updates. Utilize best practices for the application of assistive technology in line with student needs. Participate in joint planning with all other ECE service providers. Maintain a regular schedule of parent contact and complete parent contact sheets in order to log time spent during non-teaching time. Act as liaison with outside agencies when additional services are being provided. Use appropriate and effective strategies in instructing students on the autism spectrum. Participate and follow in the development and implementation of the district and school policies and procedures as well as the school's site plan. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Building Administrator.
