Job Title: Teacher – Special Education Resource Math (Grades 6–8)
Position Type: Full-Time

Summary:
The Special Education Resource Math Teacher supports students in grades 6–8 by delivering individualized and group instruction aligned with state standards and IEP goals. This position requires strong classroom management, collaboration, and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with exceptionalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

• Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate or equivalent

• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• SEI Endorsement (preferred)

Core Responsibilities:

• Create a structured, positive classroom environment that fosters academic and personal growth

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on IEPs and curriculum standards

• Deliver instruction using evidence-based practices and appropriate accommodations

• Integrate technology to support student engagement and learning

• Monitor and evaluate student progress using data to inform instruction

• Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements

• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress

• Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and school initiatives

• Supervise students during school hours and at school-sponsored activities

• Uphold safety, confidentiality, and professional standards at all times
