A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for a K-12 school serving students aged 15 to 19 years old. This role focuses on high school special education, providing services in accordance with MAISD caseload guidelines. The position is contract-based for the full school year with an option for up to full-time hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and support to high school students with special needs, following specially designed instructional strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations. Engage with parents, guardians, and staff to promote student success and address behavioral or educational challenges. Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education. Experience working with high school-aged students, ideally within 15-19 years age range. Familiarity with MAISD caseload requirements and special education policies. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to provide individualized and adaptive instruction to meet diverse student needs. Location: Onsite position located in Zeeland, Michigan.
