This opportunity seeks experienced Special Education Teachers to support diverse student populations in a K-12 educational setting. The role offers a full-semester contract within a dynamic, collaborative environment dedicated to meeting the unique needs of all learners.
Available positions include:
Kinderpath teacher in the PreK-K program
Resource room teacher for upper elementary students
Co-taught classroom teacher for high school students
Location: Warren, MI
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students specific learning requirements
Collaborate with general education teachers to provide co-teaching support and inclusive classroom experiences
Use specialized instructional strategies and interventions to facilitate academic and social development
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on ongoing assessments
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and related service providers to promote student success
Qualifications:
Valid state certification in Special Education
Experience working across various grade levels, including early childhood through high school
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners, including those requiring resource support and inclusive settings
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
This is a contract position for the full semester with the possibility of multiple openings across grade levels.
