Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY) Setting: Elementary school, transitional classroom Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 1st grade Work Arrangement: Onsite only Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities in K-1st grade Deliver specialized instruction within a transitional classroom environment to support academic and social development Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive learning experiences Monitor student progress, adjust teaching methods accordingly, and document outcomes Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom culture conducive to learning and growth Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification relevant to the state of Washington Experience working with early elementary students, specifically K-1st grade Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional best practices Ability to work onsite daily, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to student success Effective communication and teamwork skills This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the early educational journey of students requiring specialized support.
