A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the current school year at a K-8 school in Surprise, AZ. This contract position focuses on leading a highly structured classroom serving students with autism and other developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities include: Delivering evidence-based, structured instruction using methods such as TEACCH, visual schedules, and work systems Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals Collaborating closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to monitor and support student progress Managing classroom behavior through proactive, positive behavior interventions and supports Maintaining an organized and structured classroom environment that promotes student independence and engagement Collecting data on student performance and regularly reporting progress Candidates should hold a valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement or be eligible for certification.
