A full-semester contract opportunity is available for two Michigan-licensed Special Education Teachers to work in a K-12 educational setting in Sterling Heights, MI. This role offers a chance to provide critical support to students with special needs while collaborating closely with fellow educators to ensure compliance and effective individualized education planning. One of the two positions will serve in a lead capacity, providing guidance and support to colleagues who may not hold a teaching license. This leadership role is essential in fostering a cohesive and informed team environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of K-12 students. Actively participate in and support Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, maintaining compliance with all special education requirements. Promote timely completion of documentation and processes related to student educational plans. Lead and mentor non-licensed teachers, providing support and resources as needed. Qualifications: Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching License. Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings. Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance mandates.
