The classroom will consist of mild/moderate or moderate/severe needs, with students ranging from 5th to 8th grade. The position is a direct hire role, designed for the 2025-2026 school year, with a start date of August 18, 2025, and ending June 5, 2026. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities. Manage a small classroom of 2-8 students, with a maximum capacity of 10 students. Collaborate closely with three paraprofessionals assigned to assist in the classroom. Employ strategies and interventions suitable for students with primary and emotional disabilities. Maintain a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress. Participate in team meetings and parent communication to support student success. Qualifications: Valid teaching credential with certification in Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly within the 5th to 8th grade range. Ability to work effectively with students with emotional and primary disabilities. Strong classroom management skills in a specialized education setting. Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams.
