This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting, focusing on a K+1st Grade Self-Contained Life Skills Classroom. Located in Liberty Hill, TX, the role is full-time with a Non-Student Year schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, designed as a continuing school year (CSY) contract. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Texas Special Education certification and possess a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, with an ECSE Teacher, ARD Facilitator, and District Behavior Specialist available on-site to assist and provide additional resources. Key Qualifications: Valid Texas Special Education Certification required Experience in teaching K-1 students in a self-contained life skills classroom preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with a multidisciplinary team Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Knowledge of behavior management strategies and ARD facilitation Primary Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of students in the Life Skills program Collaborate with ECSE Teacher, ARD Facilitator, and Behavior Specialist to support student success Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress effectively Participate in ARD meetings and assist in behavioral intervention planning Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning This position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
