This full-time Special Education teaching position is available in a K-12 setting, supporting a focused Pathways classroom at a middle school. The role serves students with significant needs, including those requiring toileting and feeding protocols, providing specialized instructional support to help them succeed. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and support to a caseload of six students with diverse and intensive special education needs. Implement and monitor toileting and feeding protocols in accordance with students individualized plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and other educators, to develop and execute effective educational strategies. Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt instruction to meet evolving needs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth. Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student development and needs. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification. Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with complex medical and behavioral needs. Strong understanding of specialized instructional methods and protocols. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Location & Schedule: Position is based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Full-time (37.5 hours per week) with contract duration from August 25th through December 2nd (including working on December 2nd).
