An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a resource classroom setting. This full-time, contract position starts on August 6th and will serve approximately 15-20 students in grades 9-12. The role involves working closely with students who require individualized instruction and support to help them succeed academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Deliver instruction in a resource classroom environment, providing targeted support for students with disabilities Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and guardians Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning Qualifications: Valid state certification in Special Education Experience working with high school students in grades 9-12 Ability to manage a caseload of 15-20 students effectively Knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to creating an encouraging and supportive learning environment Location: Grove Hill, AlabamaJob Type: Full-time Contract This position offers a meaningful chance to impact the lives of students through specialized instruction and support.
