A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a K-12 school, serving Grade 6 students. This contract role spans the current school year and offers an opportunity to contribute to a supportive learning environment. Location: Hillsboro, OH Grade Level: 6 Schedule: 7:15 AM 2:30 PM Contract Duration: 183-day school year Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) and History to Grade 6 students Provide one period of intervention or elective instruction to support diverse learning needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards Collaborate with grade-level and special education teams to support student progress Monitor and assess student performance, adapting teaching strategies accordingly Maintain accurate records and participate in school meetings as required Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with specialization in Special Education Experience teaching middle school students, preferably Grade 6 Strong knowledge of ELA and History curriculum standards Ability to deliver targeted intervention and differentiated instruction Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment Benefits include the opportunity to positively impact student growth within a dedicated K-12 setting, working full-time with a consistent daily schedule and structured academic calendar.
