A full-time opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a separate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. This contract position begins on August 27, 2025, and is set for the school year. The role involves a caseload of 10 students, including three non-verbal learners, with a paraprofessional assigned to support the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
Deliver instruction and support aligned with best practices in special education and ASD.
Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize educational outcomes.
Communicate regularly with families and school teams regarding student development.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education.
Valid Massachusetts state licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher.
At least two years of experience working within a K-12 educational setting.
Strong knowledge of ASD educational strategies and behavior management techniques.
