This opportunity is for two full-time Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year, starting August 1, 2025, through May 15, 2026. These roles are onsite in a K-12 educational setting and involve working with both secondary and elementary student caseloads.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload of 15-20 high school students, supporting both co-teaching environments and resource room settings for secondary level.
Managing a caseload of approximately 40 elementary students, providing specialized instruction and support in a resource room, including one period dedicated to Math and one period for ELA.
Collaborating with general education teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet student needs.
Utilizing teaching strategies tailored to diverse learning styles and disabilities to help students achieve academic success.
Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional approaches as necessary.
Desired qualifications or experience:
Valid Special Education certification for K-12.
Experience working with students in both elementary and secondary settings preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and caseloads efficiently.
