This opening is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position serving first-grade students in an elementary school setting. The role involves supporting a caseload of five students with emotional disabilities (ED), working closely with paraprofessionals within the classroom. The position follows a school year contract and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of first-grade students with emotional disabilities. Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals to deliver specialized instruction and support. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize educational outcomes. Maintain clear and accurate documentation in compliance with applicable regulations. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement. Qualifications: Active Indiana Special Education Teacher License. Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in special education. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, families, and colleagues. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
