A Special Education teacher opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school in Cordova, TN. This contract position involves working in an inclusion classroom setting with students requiring specialized support to meet their educational goals. Responsibilities include: Evaluating students' skills, learning styles, and specific needs to develop appropriate educational objectives. Creating, implementing, and maintaining Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that define goals, services, and necessary accommodations for each student. Adapting and modifying the general education curriculum to ensure accessibility for students with disabilities. Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to provide inclusive and effective instruction. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Education or a related field. Valid Tennessee Special Education endorsement. Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and coordinate with parents and school personnel. Schedule and Location: Full-time hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Position located in Cordova, TN. Contract duration: 2025-2026 school year. Benefits: Competitive hourly pay.
