Qualifications:
Active Moderate Disabilities license for grades PreK-8 through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in elementary settings
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Experience managing varied caseloads and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate disabilities, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs
Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to create a comprehensive learning environment
Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring alignment with students goals and state requirements
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote successful outcomes
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral expectations
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
