Position Details
Responsibilities Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration.
Utilize various instructional strategies and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
Supervise students in the classroom and other school settings.
Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Valid State of Michigan teaching certification with Special Education teaching endorsement.
Awareness of the physical, social, emotional, and mental development of the students.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
A passion for fostering a love of learning and a commitment to student success.
