Position Title: Sistema Program Site Director
Location: Draper, UT (Two Campuses; Seeking two Site Directors)
Draper 1 campus - 12892 S. Pony Express Road, Draper
Draper 2 campus - 11936 S. Lone Peak Parkway, Draper
Start Date: July 1, 2025
Compensation: DOE - range $25-30 per hour.
30 hours/week for 8 weeks - July 1 - August 20, 2025
22 hours/week during 2025-2026 school year

About Sistema Utah:
Join our award-winning Sistema Utah program! We are dedicated to transforming lives through music education. We provide children in grades 2-6 with a vibrant after-school experience, combining instrumental music instruction, academic support, choral singing, outdoor play, and snacks. Our program has fostered creativity, discipline, and community at two West Valley City campuses for over 10 years and we are expanding the program to our Draper campuses. This is an after-school program, running every school day until 5:30 PM.
Position Overview:
We are seeking two enthusiastic and organized Site Directors (one per campus) to lead our After-School Sistema Program starting in Fall 2025. As a Site Director, you will oversee program operations, hire and train teaching artists, and ensure a positive, high-energy environment for students learning violin, cello, flute, piano, taiko drums, and potentially other instruments. You will also collaborate with a secretary to manage student registration, fee collection, and daily program logistics.
Key Responsibilities: Hire, train, and supervise teaching artists to deliver high-quality music instruction and academic mentoring. Oversee daily program operations, including music lessons, group singing, academic support, outdoor play, and snack time. Foster a positive, inclusive environment for students in grades 2-6. Coordinate with the program secretary to manage student registration, fee payments, and attendance. Plan and lead music ensemble rehearsals and performances. Ensure the program aligns with Sistema Utah's mission of excellence in music education and youth development. Qualifications
Qualifications: Skilled musician with proficiency in an instrument, preferably a string instrument (violin, viola or cello). Suzuki program experience - as a student or teacher - Suzuki teaching certification(s) preferred. Experience teaching music and directing music ensembles. Highly energetic, positive, and organized with strong leadership skills. Passion for providing transformative music education to children in grades 2-6. Ability to manage and motivate a team of teaching artists. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in program coordination or education is a plus. Schedule & Compensation: Summer 2025: 30 hours/week for program startup and planning. School Year: 22 hours/week, with program hours until 5:30 PM daily. Pay: DOE - range $25-30 per hour. Site Director's Hours during the school year: M-F Daily schedule: 1:30 PM-6:00 PM = 4.5 hours/day Weekly total: 4.5 hours/day x 5 days = 22.5 hours/week Why Join Sistema Utah?
