Position Details
Qualifications:
Must have Michigan Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsement.
Three years of experience preferred
Must meet ESEA/No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified requirements.
Pursuant with State of Michigan Student Safety Legislation, all prospective hires must provide fingerprinting and background check results to the District prior to employment.
Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program
Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals focused on student achievement
Knowledge of MSBOA and MCBA
Highest level of integrity and professionalism both in and out of the classroom
Flexibility in schedule and teaching methods; Knowledge of appropriate technology use to enhance program
May include the following: Assistant Marching Band Director, Marching Band Director, Vocal Music Director, HS/MS Concert Band Director, Jazz Band, and Variety Show Director.
Will work in collaboration with current Secondary Band/Music Director
