This contract position involves providing one-to-one nursing care for a student requiring diabetes management and gastrostomy tube (G-tube) feedings. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care, including approximately eight G-tube feedings daily. Monitor blood glucose levels using Blue Loop technology. Administer insulin according to prescribed orders. Perform carbohydrate counting to assist with diabetes management. Deliver care tailored to the unique needs of a student with Down Syndrome. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and healthcare providers. Desired Qualifications: Current and valid LPN/LVN license. Experience or training in diabetic care, including insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring. Knowledge of G-tube feeding procedures. Ability to work one-on-one with pediatric clients.
