Summary

Whiz Kids Child Development Center is a Center based facility that is family orientated. We are looking for a School Age Lead Teacher to join our team of caring and creative care givers. Qualified candidates will possess a passion and joy for early childhood education. A successful preschool teacher will be energetic and enthusiastic. S/he won't be afraid to get wild and crazy with their kiddos.

Schedule: Monday-Friday Split shift: 6:30-9:00 A.M. 2:00-5:00 P.M.

Duties

The Duties of a School Age Lead Teacher include (but are not limited to): Design lesson plans that facilitate the children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development Implement age-appropriate activities and work as a team player with peers and associates Tend to children's basic needs Mediate conflict between children Model appropriate behaviors Encourage staff/parent communication Insure the center's philosophies and policies are implemented Attend all staff meetings, continuing education, and center events Maintain state mandated staff/student ratio at all times

Requirements

At Whiz Kids, a school age teacher must have: Clear criminal record Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 pounds Warm, approachable disposition Excellent problem-solving skills Passion for early childhood development

Nice To Haves

An Associates Degree in ECE or a related field First aid certified per CT requirements CPR certified per CT requirements Medication certified per CT requirements
