Job Description: The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers. The program coincides with the unit you are hired into. Education Qualifications: Overview: Target audience:  Newly licensed nurses or soon to be RNs with less than 1 year of experience.
Goal:  To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development.
Length:  1 year program
Shifts: 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability)
Eligibility: Current nursing student OR
Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program OR
Starting first RN position with Essentia Health within one year of graduation.
Required Qualifications: Nursing license in state of employment.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Highlights: Up to $10,000 (ADN)/$15,000 (BSN) Sign on Bonus
