The RN Interventional Special Procedures provides specialized nursing care in radiology settings, including perioperative and post-anesthesia care, utilizing advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include direct patient care, precepting new nurses, and maintaining certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS. The role supports a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, wellness, and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.
• Minimum Experience: 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
• ADDITIONAL POSITION LEVEL CREDENTIAL INFORMATION: If on PICC team they just need BLS all others need ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

• Direct care includes practice in Perioperative, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Operating Room levels of care
• AORN and ABPANC core curriculum and certifications standards are included in evidence-based care models
• Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
