We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our dynamic team in a

role for Manchester, NH.
What You'll Do :
Deliver Specialized Instruction : Provide tailored educational services to students with visual impairments, focusing on areas such as braille literacy, orientation and mobility, and the use of assistive technology.
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement IEPs that address the unique needs of each student.
Conduct Assessments : Perform functional vision assessments and learning media assessments to inform instructional strategies.
Provide Consultation : Offer guidance and support to general education teachers and staff on effective strategies for accommodating students with visual impairments.
Engage with Families : Maintain open communication with families to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's educational journey.
Qualifications :
Certification : Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification in New Hampshire.
Education : Master's degree in Visual Impairment, Special Education with a focus on visual impairments, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with visual impairments in a school setting.
Skills : Proficiency in braille instruction, knowledge of assistive technology, and strong communication skills.
