Position Details
This full-time remote position offers 37 hours per week serving a caseload of approximately 18-22 students across grades K-12. You'll provide specialized instruction through secure virtual learning platforms while collaborating with families, general education teachers, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning disabilities
Deliver direct instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, and functional life skills through virtual platforms
Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and data collection to guide instructional decisions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive student services
Provide consultation and support to general education teachers for inclusive practices
Facilitate virtual parent conferences and maintain regular family communication
Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies for online learning environments
Student Population Served
Your caseload will include students with specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders, and multiple disabilities requiring specialized academic and behavioral support. You'll work across all educational levels, adapting instruction to meet individual developmental and academic needs.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited program
Valid New Hampshire Special Education Teacher certification
Minimum 2 years of experience providing special education services in school settings
Demonstrated competency in virtual instruction and online learning platforms
Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and professional teams
Proficiency with assistive technology and digital learning tools
Virtual Teaching Environment
This position requires a professional home office setup with reliable high-speed internet and video conferencing capabilities. You'll need experience with online curriculum platforms, digital assessment tools, and virtual classroom management strategies to effectively engage students in remote learning.
