We are recruiting a skilled DHH Teacher to join our comprehensive remote education team, providing critical specialized instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students across Kentucky's virtual school systems. This full-time remote position involves 35-37.5 hours per week serving a caseload of 40-50 students in grades K-12. You'll utilize innovative virtual platforms to deliver evidence-based DHH instruction, ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality specialized education services within their educational programs. Key Responsibilities
Conduct virtual assessments of communication abilities and academic progress
Create individualized instructional plans based on hearing loss and communication needs
Implement specialized teaching techniques through interactive digital platforms
Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects with DHH adaptations
Track student progress through data collection and visual documentation
Collaborate with educational teams to support inclusive learning environments
Attend virtual IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
Offer consultation services to general education teachers and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with special education regulations
Qualification Requirements
Master's degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education from accredited institution
Current Kentucky DHH teacher licensure
Minimum 2 years of school-based DHH teaching experience
Competency in sign language communication and/or oral methods
Experience with assistive technology and hearing devices
Strong knowledge of deaf culture and hearing impairment characteristics
Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration with diverse stakeholders
