If you have experience working with groups of preschool children ages 3-5 and have a passion for teaching, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has an amazing role for you as a RecreationPreschool Lead Teacher . This is a year-round, part-time position.

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed programming and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, the RecreationPreschool Lead Teacher will be responsible forengaging participants and leading activities for preschool participants between the ages of 3 and 5. The RecreationPreschool Lead Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, fun, inclusive environment welcoming to all.

Location: Discovery Park Environmental Learning Center -3801 Discovery Park Blvd, Seattle, WA 98199

Recreation Preschool Lead Teacher Responsibilities: Leading daily curriculum activities with a classroom of children ages 3-5 years old Mentors and trains Assistant Teachers Models appropriate behavior and provides opportunities for social and emotional growth Ensures a ratio of 1:8 (staff to children) is maintained as much as possible to ensure that children are safe and accounted for Reports to the Associated Recreation Preschool Director

Recreation Preschool Lead Teacher Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older Initial ECE Certificate or equivalent is preferred Must have High School Diploma, or GED, or college transcripts or other secondary education At least one year of experience working with groups of children between the ages of 3-5 years old in a preschool setting (required)

Schedule: Monday - Friday up to 25hours per week between the hours of 9:00am - 1:30pm Hiring by Date: As soon as possible

Pay: Starting Pay: $23.00/hr, non-exempt; part-time position Full Pay Range: $23.00-26.45/hr (the employee may earn up to $26.45/hr with additional years in the role)
