Reading Recovery Teacher Leader
The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking a Reading Recovery Teacher Leader. Selected by their school district, or a consortium of districts, teacher leaders train and support in-training and experienced Reading Recovery teachers in schools. They are employed by their school districts where they teach students, monitor the teaching and outcomes of Reading Recovery, and engage in on-going professional development. Depending on the number of new teachers they monitor each year, groups of one or more are formed and supported by the Teacher Leader.
Qualifications and Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:
Reading Recovery Teacher Leader trained and identified by local school district for the role
Must be affiliated with a certified Reading Recovery training center
Must abide by the standards and guidelines established by the Reading Recovery Council of North America
