Job Summary:

Vanderbilt Area School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum.

Create a safe and welcoming classroom where all children can thrive.

Guide daily routines including play, instruction, meals, and rest time.

Assess students progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.

Communicate regularly with parents about student development.

Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide events.

Maintain compliance with licensing, safety, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Valid Michigan teaching certification for early childhood/preschool.

Knowledge of child development and best practices in early education.

Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
