The Academy is a Christ-centered preschool dedicated to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated *Lead Teachers* and *Teacher's Aides* to join our team. Whether you're an experienced educator or beginning your journey in early education, we're looking for individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children through a loving and professional environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and the skills to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This role includes planning and delivering lesson plans, fostering children's social and emotional growth, and working collaboratively with families and staff to support each child's unique journey.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards * Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social, emotional, and cognitive growth * Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe classroom environment * Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed * Communicate effectively with families about classroom activities and student development * Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning space * Use positive guidance and behavior management strategies * Collaborate with colleagues to support children with special needs or learning differences
*Requirements*
* A passion for working with young children in a faith-based environment * Willingness to uphold and model Christian values * Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills * *Teacher Aides:* Minimum of 6 ECE units required; 12 units preferred * *Lead Teachers:* Minimum of 12 ECE units required; additional coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred * Previous experience working with young children, including children with disabilities, is a plus * Must be able to pass a DOJ/Social Services background check
*Skills & Traits*
* Knowledge of child development principles and best practices * Familiarity with behavior management techniques * Patience, creativity, and a joyful approach to teaching * Experience in private or faith-based education is helpful * Enthusiasm for learning and growing professionally
*Job Type:* Full-time *Pay:* $18.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on education and experience) *Schedule:* Monday to Friday | 6-hour and 8-hour shifts available *Work Location:* In person
