Position/Type: Teacher, full-time.

Salary: TBD and $1,000 Signing bonus

Vanderbilt Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and aims to foster a nurturing, educational, and stimulating environment for young learners. Responsibilities : Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that caters to the needs of all students.

Manage classroom activities including structured lessons, free play, art projects, and snack times.

Conduct daily assessments of children’s learning and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

Facilitate a healthy social environment focusing on building interpersonal skills among children.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and social development.

Organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities.

Maintain ongoing records of students’ progress, routines, and interests, and report on this information.

Always ensure compliance with school and safety regulations. Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field.

Valid teaching certification for preschool education.

Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education best practices.

Proven ability to engage young children in learning activities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a special focus on empathetic communication.

Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.

Creativity and flexibility to adapt to changing situations and different learning styles.

Punctuality and adherence to contractual responsibilities and expectations. First aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
