PODS Preschool + Developmental Center is an inclusive Therapeutic Center which services children *with/without* Special Needs and other various Developmental Delays. It is essential for any individual applying for this position to possess strong classroom management skills. We are seeking hard working individuals who have a PASSION to work with young children.

The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.

*Qualifications*:

· *Lead Educator:* Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development *OR* a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or non-related field with 18 or more credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

Special Education experience is a plus, however we provide resources for courses to help assist staff with understanding the EXCEPTIONAL children we serve. Completion of courses are required within 90 days of employment.

*General Job Description*:

· Planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum (Creative Curriculum); which is harmonious with PODS philosophy of Early Childhood Education.

· Conduct and document developmental screenings and assessments of children.

· Complete daily observations on students and input data in Teaching Strategies Gold.

· Communicate with parents daily about their child's day via Class Dojo App.

· Provide appropriate learning experiences for students with and without disabilities in a variety of educational settings.

· Maintain a safe learning environment at all times in classroom, playground and common areas.

· Help plan, attend and participate in all school functions, including Parent Orientation, Open Houses, etc.

· Attend all staff and supervisory meetings, as scheduled by the Director.

· Meet all city and state requirements for child care professionals licensing standards, which include maintaining 30 hours of training annually and in-service training sessions annually.

· Have proficient verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor communication to different audiences.

· Have intermediate computer skills, internet and email and the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.

· Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program.
